Conrad Mel (1666 - 1733), theologian and writer, professor of theology at the University of Konigsberg and member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. Bust portrait in inscribed oval frame, German quotation from Psalm below; four symbolic vignettes to corners, of a human skull, timer, beehive, and serpent-ring. He supposedly was father of 28 children, eight sons and sixteen daughters. By Jacob Gole (c.1660 - 1724).
