The Above is a Correct Representation of the Gnu, or Horned Horse. Just added to the Collection, purchased at the late Knowsley Sale. The only Specimen in Europe, and the first that has been exhibited for the last 10 years. This animal is a Native ofSouth Africa, and is notified by Bruce, in his History of the Animal Kingdom, as being the mist Elegant Quadruped of that Country. They have two horns over their eyes, which gives them the name of the Horned Horses: they partake of the Horse, Cow and Antelope species.
