A caricature politician in a chair asleep at his desk, which is covered by books and newspapers (one inscribed 'The London Chronicle'); he wears a coat, wig and spectacles. From an album of caricatures published by Mary Darly dated January 1776. It seems that her husband Matthew made the plates.
