A man wears a laced coat and waistcoat, a frilled cravat and shirt, and riding-boots, also a sword. His hair is in an enormous twisted and looped club, and he carries a riding-whip under his right arm. From 'Caricatures, Macaronies & Characters, published by MDarly', in an album of caricatures published by Mary Darly dated January 1776. It seems that her husband Matthew made the plates. Numbered 'V.5' upper left and '18' upper right.
