A portly cleric out shooting is encouraged by his footman to 'Run, my Lord, run' after a scampering partridge disturbed from its ground cover. The parson appears unwilling, or perhaps unable, to chase the bird. Numbered '19' upper right. From an album of caricatures published by Mary Darly dated January 1776. It seems that her husband Matthew made the plates.
