The decorative border including flowers and fronds held by winged putti, and a lyre, pipes and sheet music in the lower part, engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi (1728 - 1815). William Shield (1748 - 1829), composer at Covent Garden, wrote music for upwards of thirty dramatic pieces. This comic opera was written by Thomas Holcroft (1745 - 1809).
