Illustrates 'Caroline de Lichtfield, ou Mémoires d'une Famille Prussienne', by Swiss novelist Isabelle de Montolieu (1751 - 1832), an influential instant best-seller in the 1780s that stayed in print until the mid-19th century. Six line quotation from volume I in English and French below title. After Thomas Stothard (1755 - 1834).
