The Adoration of the Magi is the name traditionally given to the representation in Christian art of the three kings laying gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh before the infant Jesus, and worshiping Him. This interpretation by Eugene Deveria (French, 1808 - 1865). Plate to 'Revue des Peintres' by his brother Achille Devéria (1800 - 1857). As well as a painter and lithographer, Deveria was a stained-glass designer. Numbered 'Pl 1.' upper right.
