Venus lying naked on a couch with Cupid to left, sheilding himself with his bow from a shower of coins that fall from above. Adaptation by Josiah Boydell (1752 - 1817) of the famous image by Titian (1489/90 - 1576). Nephew of John, and partner and later sole proprietor of the firm, Josiah is named on several prints as an intermediary draughtsman.
