From a series of twenty-six prints depicted two animals fighting each other. By Antonio Tempesta (c.1555-1630) painter, draughtsman, and etcher from Florence, he was a pupil of Stradanus. He was active in Rome around 1580, with his earliest dated prints appearing in 1589. Published by Nicolas van Aelst (c.1550's- 1613) engraver, printer, print dealer and print publisher, from Brussels, working in Rome.
