A view of Syon House, the seat of the Duke of Northumberland in Isleworth, from the Thames. In the foreground are men in a boat fishing with nets. One of twenty plates in 'A Series of Picturesque Views of Noblemen's & Gentlemen's Seats', published in ten parts, each with two plates, 1814-1823. The completed work was published as a volume in 1823, but this plate had been replaced with another version of the same scene, making this the rarest plate in an already scarce work.
