Three-quarter length seated portrait of Hugh Boulter (1672-1742). Boulter wears clerical robes, bands, and a chin-length wig, he gazes at the viewer with his right elbow resting on the arm of his chair and his left hand resting on the enormous volume balanced on his knee. Irish interest and Dublin publication. CS 15 III of IV.
