A hare (far right) is flushed from cover by two lurchers; a beater with his stick and spaniel at his side in centre, two men and another dog in landscape beyond. After George Morland (1762/3 - 1804), from a series of hunting scenes showing different quarry. Originally published 1790 by T. Simpson, and re-published by Thompson in 1814; a version with French title was engraved by Suntach in 1791. See Siltzer pp.189-190.
