Maharaja Duleep Singh (1838-1893), the last Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, deposed aged 10, when the British annexed the Pubjab in 1849, following the Second Anglo-Sikh War. From 1854 he lived in exile in England and Scotland, during which time he had a close relationship with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
