A monster with bat's face, wings & tail and hoofs, in quasi-oriental dress, strides from 'Turkey' to London', holding a fool's bauble and a paper: 'Plan for turning St Pauls to a Bazaar'. The 'Bazaar' was established by John Trotter in 1815, to enable the widows and daughters of Army officers to raise money by selling their handywork. Counter-space was rented at 3d. a foot a day, the only recommendation required being 'an irreproachable character'. The Bazaar, the first of its kind, extended from the west side of Soho Square to Oxford Street and proved a source of great wealth to Trotter.

The Prince of Wales is seated in a magnificent dining-hall before a bare table. The Duke of Leinster offers him across the table a dish of 'Potatoes from Leinster'; the Prince extends his arms to take them, but turns his head to look at the forbidding Thurlow, dressed as a doctor, who stands on his right. A satire of the Irish offer to the Prince of an unrestricted Regency. Here Ireland is called Barataria (the non-existant island that Sancho Panza is offered governorship of, in 'Don Quixote'), a term used in satirical letters in the style of Junius published in newspapers.

Satirical portrait of James Harris (1746-1820), 1st Earl of Malmesbury, sitting with both thumbs in his mouth. A career diplomat, he served in Madrid, Berlin, St Petersburg and the Hague and was sent to Brunswick to solicit the hand of Princess Caroline for the Prince of Wales. This satire relates to one of his less successful missions: in 1796 he was sent to negotiate peace with the French Directory. A conversation was quoted in the London Chronicle in which Malmesbury told Delacroix, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, that he would have to contact London to ask if he was authorized to conclude a treaty for the allies of Great Britain.

Satire on the imminent 'birth' of the Catholic Emancipation Bill, published just days before the Bill was introduced/delivered. At the centre of the image are Wellington (holding 'Ministerial Forceps'), Peel (with a bottle of medicine), and an old woman, as doctor-accoucheur, apothecary, and nurse. The nurse sits with a copy of The Times, which had urged concessions to the Catholics and was styled 'the hireling of Popery' by opponents of the Bill. Three winds of 'Faction' blow from above, issuing from the heads of Eldon (chief opponent of Emancipation), Winchelsea (included in reference to his extravagant speches) and a third. Figures around the edges include two frenzied bishops, two non-Anglican ministers (of which one is evidently Irving), O'Connell in wig and gown stood addressing a band of his followers, and Cumberland top right, in hussar uniform.

A scene in a schoolroom, an angry woman stands before a schoolmaster to complain that the group of schoolboys have been shouting things like 'beat her' as she walks along the road. One of the boys claims that they are not shouting at the woman but practising their Greek alphabet and shouting 'Beta'.

Justice Mittimus intrudes between a couple, inviting himself to live with with them ''to see that every thing goes on pretty and smooth in the family''. A satire of the Seditious Meetings Act of 1795 which, although designed to curtail political meetings, was being used against other groups, including prayer meetings.

A caricature of Tsar Paul I of Russia: in one hand he has a scroll marked 'Order'; in the other 'Counter Order'; and on his crown 'Disorder'. A satire on the Tsar's inconsistant statements about his commitment to the anti-French coalition of Britain, Austria and Russia, caused by bad feeling after the withdrawal of the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland in 1799. He was assassinated a year later.
