An impression of this print was purchased by Her Majesty Queen Mary at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1928. Nathaniel Sparks R.E. (1880-1956) won a scholarship to the Bristol College of Art and Science at the age of 10. His allegorical nudes and such subject matter are relatively rare today.

A nude woman running along a sandy beach, arms outstretched to embrace the elements. Nathaniel Long (1893-1955), book and magazine illustrator and printmaker who specialized in eroticised female etching. In 1948 he illustrated editions of both 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' and 'The Coral Island'.
