Engraving after Titian's huge 'Presentation of the Virgin' (finished by 1538) for the Scuola della Carita in Venice (it is now in Venice's Galleria dell'Accademia). Architecturally elaborate and in a procession format, the picture includes portraits of members of the Scuola. Plate from 'Il gran Teatro di Venezia', a large series of famous paintings in Venice and views of the city. First published by Domenico Louisa c.1720, this impression is from a later publication by Teodoro Viero.
