Croyland Abby. This was a most magnificent mitred Abby of Benedictines founded Ethelbald King of the Mercians about the Year 716 dedicated to St.Guthlake and St.Bartholomew.

Etching with large margins, very scarce. Platemark: 355 x 250mm. (14 x 9¾"). Small tears to lower and left edges of sheet. Glued to verso are articles from 'Antiquities found in Lincolnshire', including 'an account of an ancient shrine, formerly belonging to the Abbey of Croyalnd'.
