After Charles Louis Clérisseau (1721-1820), draughtsman and architect. He went to Rome in 1749 and was working for Robert Adam as a draughtsman during the architect's tour of Italy (1755-63). Many of the illustrations in Adam’s 'Ruins of the Palace of the Emperor Diocletian at Spalatro' (1764) were drawn by Clérisseau, without attribution.

Anne, Princess Royal and Princess of Orange (1709-1759) was the second child and eldest daughter of King George II of Great Britain and his consort, Caroline of Ansbach. She was the spouse of William IV, Prince of Orange, the first hereditary stadtholder of the Netherlands. She was Regent of the Netherlands from 1751 until her death, exercising extensive powers on behalf of her son William V. Joseph or Giuseppe Wagner was an engraver trained in Augsburg who moved to Bologna whre he met Jacopo Amigoni who brought him to London. He set up a business in Great Marlborough Street and also on his return to Venice a the Rialto. He engraved many works after Amigoni.

A religious scene showing the Virgin Mary enthroned with Christ and Joseph and surrounded by Saints Giustina, Francis and Jerome. The original oil was painted by Veronese and was commissioned by Francesco Bonaldi for the sacristy altar in San Zaccaria in Venice in 1562, the work was seized by Napoleon in 1797 and taken to Paris. It is now housed in the Gallerie dell'Accademia.

Portrait of collector Willibald Pirckheimer (1470-1530) the German Renaissance lawyer, author and Renaissance humanist. He was a wealthy and prominent figure in Nuremberg in the 16th century, and a member of the governing City Council for two periods. He was the closest friend of the artist Albrecht Dürer, from whose etching of Pirckheimer this print may derive. From "Mundus mirabilis tripartitus, oder Wunderbare Welt, in einer kurtzen Cosmographia fürgestellet", by Eberhard Werner Happel.
