One of the finest ballet prints, depicting the four greatest ballerinas of the age in a ballet divertissement choreographed by Jules Perrot to music by Cesare Pugni. To assuage the quartet's rivalry, the ballerinas appeared on stage in order of age, youngest to oldest.
