Funeral procession for a European, presumably a plantation owner, at a cemetary in Paramaribo, the capital and largest city of Suriname, a former Dutch colony in South America. The compositons feature black slaves as mourners, holding parasols and carrying the coffin, also a skull in the ground in lower image.
