Etching, platemark 280 x 225mm (11 x 8¾"), with very large margins. Signed and titled by artist and numbered '100' in pencil.
One of a number of etchings of Spanish locations by Lionel Lindsay (1874-1961), Australian printmaker and illustrator. In 1902 Lindsay travelled to Spain, London and Italy, eventually settling in Sydney where he continued to work as an illustrator while developing a passion for etching historical views of the city and the harbour. He returned to Europe in 1926 where he made etchings and drypoints of landscapes and cityscapes. He was knighted for his services to art in 1941.
