Mezzotint, proof before letters from an uncleaned plate, 195 x 140mm. 7¾ x 5½". Creases to upper right corner. Small tear just into image upper left, damage to lower left margin.
A German prince or dignitary, engraved at Regensburg (Latin: Ratisbona) in Bavaria, Germany, by Johann Friedrich Leonart (1633 - 1680). Born in Dunkirk, Leonart was working in Prague and Regensburg in 1670, and from 1673 in Berlin where he died in 1680. A rich impression of this early mezzotint.

Pair of mezzotints, sheets 375 x 290mm (14¾ x 11½"). Isabella trimmed within plate, creasing, Meerstraten fine with large margins, on 17th century watermarked paper, both tipped into album sheets at sides.
Three-quarter length portraits of Jurist and prominent member of the Brussels magistracy, Justus van Meerstraeten (d.1639) and his wife Isabella van Asche (fl.1636).
