Gulliver's Travels (1726) was a novel by writer and clergyman Jonathan Swift, that is a both a satire on human nature and a parody of the "travellers' talews" literary sub-genre. Part One details the voyage to Lilliput and his capture by a race of people one-twelfth the size of a normal human being.
