G.D. Heumann excudit Norimberg. [n.d., c.1730.] Etching, with large margins; 430 x 265mm. 17" x 10½". View of boats on the River Thames near Woolwich. By Georg Daniel Heumann (1691 - 1759), draughtsman and engraver born in Nuremberg. He was a member of the Nuremberg academy, and described on some prints as 'Königl. Gross-Brit. Hofkupferstecker' (engraver for the British court?). This plate was bought and reissued in London by John Boydell (1719 - 1804) in 1750. See Guildhall Library Record: 22785.
