Frederick Augustus I or Augustus II the Strong (1670 – 1733) was Elector of Saxony (as Frederick Augustus I) and King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania (as Augustus II); in armour and fur cloak, in inscribed oval frame. Four lines of tribute to pediment. Engraved and published by Étienne Desrochers (1668 - 1741).

Danaé, sitting with Cupid on a bed, is visited by Jupiter in the guise of golden rain, with two putti dipping the tip of an arrow in poison. One of the 'Loves of Jupiter'. Engraved by Étienne Desrochers after Antonio Correggio's painting (now in the Galleria Borghese), this print was first published by Louis Surugue in Paris c.1720, with a dedication to the Duc d'Orléans, five verses in French, and details on the original's provenance.

An oval half-length portait of Yirmisekiz Mehmed Çelebi Efendi (c.1670-1732), Ottoman ambassador to the court of Louis XV of France, 1720-1. His was the first permanent embassy for the Ottomans, during the 'Tulip Era' of relative peace. He is remembered for his account of the mission, published in French in 1757, and for opening the first printing house in the Ottoman empire.
