Étienne-François, comte de Stainville, duc de Choiseul (1719-85). Until 1770 he was Foreign Minister of France, but his intent to side with Spain in the Falkland Crisis led to his dismissal by Louis XV, and exile to his estate at Chanteloup. Because of his popularity many people came out to bid him farewell as he left Paris. Engraved by Robert Laurie after Louis-Michel Van Loo. CS: Laurie 12.

John Charrington (1856-1939) was Honorary Keeper of Prints at the Fitzwilliam Museum, cataloguing their entire collection.
