Image 325 x 470m, 12¾ x 18". Trimmed to plate; several filled worm holes. Damaged. A fine prospect of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire; in the foreground figures walking along a path through a field containing sheep, and some agricultural workers with scythes resting. The town was chartered by King John in 1205. It is the traditional county town of Huntingdonshire (formerly a separate county), and is known as the birthplace in 1599 of Oliver Cromwell.
