Untitled three-quarter portrait of Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-35), wearing a low-necked gown with jewels down the front, trimmed in ermine with a cloak from the shoulders, holding a rose. The granddaughter of King Jan Sobieki III, she married James Francis Edward Stuart (the 'Old Pretender') in 1719, becoming the mother of Charles Edward Stuart, 'Bonnie Prince Charlie'. Sharp: 184.
