An interior view of a class at Winchester College, with the motto 'Aut Disce Aut Disce Manet Sors Tertia Caedi' on the wall at the back. George Heywood Maunoir Sumner (1853-1940) was a founder of the Arts & Crafts Exhibition Society and an early Master of the Art Workers' Guild. He first publication, 'The Itchen Valley', was a collection of etching that came out in 1881.
