Thomas Philip de Grey, 2nd Earl of Grey (1781-1859), known as Lord Grantham. He was a Tory politician who in 1834 was appointed to the Privy Council, whilst still holding the office as first Lord of the Admiralty. He served as yeomanry aide-de-camp to William IV and a similar position under Queen Victoria. From 1841 to 1844 he served as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. Whitman: 72.
