Music, words and flute accompaniment. Headpiece illustration of a woman sitting in a room with two men in frockcoats, one addressing her, the other standing nearby. Farinelli (1705 –82) was the stage name of Carlo Maria Michelangelo Nicola Broschi; a celebrated Italian castrato singer of the 18th century and one of the greatest singers in the history of opera. He was persuaded to move to Spain and only sang for the Spanish Royal Family.

A reduced version of the map of the world by Lieutenant Henry Roberts, who drew many of the maps published in the Official Account of Captain Cook's Third Voyage, during which he discovered Hawaii, where he was killed.
