Frances Flora Bond Palmer (1812-76, often referred to as Fanny Palmer) and her husband ran a lithography business in England, often printing Fanny's paintings. They emigrated to the States in the early 1840s and continued the business. However it failed c.1849 and Nathaniel Currier took over their stock, retaining Fanny as an artist. Between 1849 and 1868 she produced about two hundred images for Currier and then Currier & Ives.
