Baron Karol Otto Kniaziewicz (1762-1842), fought in the Polish-Russian war of 1792, the Kosciuszko Uprising in 1794, the Napoleonic Wars in the Polish Legions, including the Russian Campaign of 1812. During the November Uprising of 1830 he was a representative of the "Polish National Government" in Paris.
