A man on a mule or donkey in a wide-brimmed hat looks over his shoulder at a laden mule-train being led into the distance (right) by another man on foot. Suggestion of mountains and landscape beyond. Offered with original frame labels, one recording details including price ($75), a second annotated in pen by the artist "One of the rarest prints I made...out of print now". By Philip Kappel (American, 1901 - 1981), etcher, illustrator and painter. Born Hartford, Connecticut in 1901.
