A half-length portrait of Robert Henry Dick (1787-1846), in dress uniform. A Scottish soldier who had fought with the Black Watch during the Peninsular War and at Quatre-Bras and Waterloo, he commanded the Third Infantry Division during the Sikh War. He was killed leading a charge against Sikh entrenchments at Sobraon.
