A scene showing Queen Elizabeth I visiting the town of Berwick on Tweed, during the middle ages Scotland and England had fought to claim the town in 1482 it was relcaimed for England and in 1551 it was made a county corporate. Elizabeth spent vast sums of money on Italian style fortifications for the town to protect it from invading Scots.
