Queen Charlotte (1744 - 1818), queen consort of George III, grandmother of Queen Victoria. She sits in an ornate chair looking at the viewer, hands held together in lap, wearing a dark dress, shawl, frilled collar, cap and earring. To right, an ornate table with writing materials and vase(?) After Henry Edridge (1768 - 1821).

Assheton Curzon, 1st Viscount Curzon (1730-1820) was a British Tory politician. He was as MP for Clitheroe from 1754-1777 and then from 1792-1794. In 1794 he was raised to the peerage as Baron Curzon, or Penn in the County of Buckingham, and then in 1802 he further honoured when he was made Viscount Curzon. He died in 1820, aged 90, and was succeeded by his grandon, Richard, who was created Earl Howe in 1821.

Sir Henry Charles Englefield, 7th Bt (1752 - 1822), natural philosopher and antiquary. An antiquary and scientific writer, Englefield had a broad range of interests ranging from the orbits of the comets and the geology of the Isle of Wight to Roman antiquities. He was President of the Society of Antiquaries, (1811-12), Secretary of the Dilettanti Society and Fellow of the Royal Society.

Sir John Woolmore (1756-1838) was a captain with the East India Company and during his long career he sailed several East Indiamen to the Far East from London. He was also one of the leading figures behind the establishment of the East India Dock Company. He served as Deputy Master of the Trinity House from 1825 until 1834.
