A man on his horse with a woman sitting behind him, tries to control his startled horse as a man on stilts and a walking band come from the opposite direction. Gordon Frederick Browne (1858-1932) was an English artist and children's book illustrator. Browne worked in watercolour and pen and ink. He was a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours and the Royal Society of British Artists. See 18436 for titled image.
