'They brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord'. Engraving after Florentine painter Fra Bartolommeo (1472-1517). Painted for the novitiate chapel of S Marco, Florence in 1516, The Uffizi exchanged the work in 1793 for Durer's 'Adoration of the Magi' in Vienna. Fra Bartolommeo's painting is now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.

Presentation in temple, with at centre the High Priest carrying Christ Child, on the right the Virgin grasping Christ's feet, and on the left St. Joseph; two further women adoring Christ. After the painting in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. From "Schola Italica Picturae sive Selectae Quaedam Summorum e Schola Italica Pictorum Tabulae Aere Incisae Cura et Impensis Gavini Hamilton Pictoris", a series of forty plates.
