The equestrian statue of Charles I at Charing Cross. Kenzo Takekoshi (1888-1981), a Japanese architect, come to study in London in 1913 after graduating from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. When he returned to Japan he continued etching for only a short time before becoming an architect full-time, although his work was regarded highly enough for it to be included in the 1982 exhibition 'Poetry of Light and Shadow' at the Nishinomiya Otani Memorial Art Museum.

A satirical scene showing a well-dressed dandy walking along the street avoiding puddles. In the background a carriage labelled 'Clapham to London' drives by and a man on the carriage yells towards the dandy. One of a set of three, the other two are: 'The cut celestial', and 'The cut direct!'

A portrait of Charles d'Orleans (1649-1672) who died crossing the Rhine near Fort Tolhuis, at the time he had been considered for the throne of Poland. He had accompanied Louis XIV to Flanders and in 1668 he led gentlemen to fight the Turks in Candia but he failed to lead the siege.

A caricature portrait of Captain de la Brosse, a French soldier nicknamed 'L’incendiaire' (arsonist) for setting fire to Haguenau (then a German city) on 10th February 1677, during the Franco-Dutch War (1672-78). He is depicted with long hair, wearing a hat, lace cravat, sash and jacket, his face seemingly blackened. The letterpress mocks his appearance. De La Brosse was killed in a melée with Imperial troops soon after.
