Scarce & fine hand coloured stipple with etching. 210 x 145mm (8¼ x 5¾"). Slight time staining in left margin. Slight crease top left.
A full-length portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), arms folded, in military dress in a landscape, recorded by Heinrich Dähling during Napoleon's visit in Berlin in 1806. The Lustgarten in Berlin, the traditional military parade ground situated right next to the Berliner Stadtschloss (City Palace) and the Berlin Cathedral.
