A visit to the island of Staffa in Scotland to see the famous Fingal's Cave, with its hexagonally-jointed basalt columns. The cave was popularised by the composer Felix Mendelssohn, whose Opus 26 Hebrides Overture, commonly known as the Fingal's Cave Overture, was inspired by the echoes of the cave.
