A view looking down across London from Observatory Hill in Greenwich Park, past The Queen's House and Greenwich Hospital and the empty Isle of Dogs. In the foreground is a passenger coach cresting the hill and heading for Blackheath, and, to emphasise the rurality of the scene, a shepherd resting with his sheep and cows.
