Ticket for a ball at the Mansion House, hosted by politician and agitator John Wilkes (1725 - 1797), who was elected Lord Mayor of London in 1774. The design depicts Iris, messenger of the gods, holding a caduceus and watching three putti dancing, with two more flying above holding grapes and a basket of flowers.
