A naval scene showing the defeat of the French fleet under Vice-Admiral Willaumez, by the British under the command of Admiral Lord Gambier and Lord Thomas Cochrane off the coast of the Isle d'Aix. The British failed to defeat the entire fleet and Cochrane publically accused Gambier of not persuing the French hard enough.
