Two portrait busts in ovals, believed to be a Captain Samuel Hawker and Mrs Sophia Barttelot. Hawker was forced by the court to pay Mr Barttelot the sum of seven hundred pounds as reparations for the 'debauching' of a married woman. From the 'Histories of the Tête à Tête annexed...' series that appeared in 'Town and Country Magazine', a monthy magazine which featured articles on the scandals and romantic affairs of the nobility.
