Hampton Court palace with the chapel royal; ferries on the Thames in foreground, including one transporting a coach. As indicated on the plate, the naturalist Joseph Banks then owned the anonymous painting from which the view derives. Plate from 'Vetusta Monumenta', a series of illustrated antiquarian papers on historic buildings published by the Society of Antiquaries.
