Fine engraving. Platemark: 480 x 600mm (19 x 23½"). Large margins on 3 sides, cut to platemark at top. Small crease in title area.
A pastoral landscape with figures in the foreground, including herdsmen with animals passing a portico, the latter with an effigy of Bacchus standing in a niche. A river and hills beyond are shown to the left. From the series 'The Most Capital Paintings in England', Boydell's first major initiative as a pioneering publisher of fine engravings.
