The Holy Family approaching from the right, with a mule, on the bank of a river walking towards the ferry boat. A pyramid and small temple with a triangular pediment among the trees is on the far bank with two figures on the opposite shore. Crest below image. Numbered 'No.38' lower left, with dimensions of original painting. From the series 'The Most Capital Paintings in England', Boydell's first major initiative as a pioneering publisher of fine engravings. After Domenico Zampieri, known as Domenichino (1581 - 1641).
